Patrick Joined USPI as the organization’s chief financial officer in April 2024. In his role, Patrick is responsible for leading the financial operations and revenue cycle management of USPI’s portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals. Prior to his time with USPI, Patrick served as Baylor Scott and White’s chief financial officer and vice president of strategic partnerships, where he oversaw the financial management of Baylor Scott & White’s joint venture portfolio. Before this role, Patrick served as a senior director of Tenet Healthcare’s corporate development team, where he completed a variety of transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Tenet in 2015, Patrick served in a variety of consulting and investment banking functions, all focused on the healthcare provider industry. Before beginning his finance career, Patrick served as a secondary mathematics educator with Teach for America in Dallas. Patrick received his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.
